"Hacker Attack" - Bishop Barron Denies Having Subscribed to Scandalous Homosexual Accounts
On 23 December, his media organisation 'Word on Fire' stated that the account had been 'hacked': "Word on Fire’s security team was alerted to irregular activity connected to one of Bishop Barron’s social media accounts. A preliminary review indicates that a bad actor gained unauthorized access and, last month, ‘liked’ a handful of scandalous pages."
This statement followed the circulation of screenshots online showing Bishop Barron's profile had subscribed to accounts featuring semi-naked young men.
This is not the first controversy. In 2022, there were discussions about a controversial blog post asking why Bishop Barron employed so many men at 'Word on Fire' who posted pictures of themselves online showing a lot of muscle but very little clothing. At the time, the prelate was often surrounded by tattooed bodybuilders and fitness models. He also paid them high salaries (up to $210,000 annually).
