Habemus Papabili - Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle.
Published on Mar 8, 2013
Few people understand the Vatican better than John Allen Jr., a Senior Correspondent for the National Catholic Reporter in Rome. Since Benedict announced his resignation, John has been doing his homework on the "papabili," or "papal candidates" who are most likely to succeed him. In these segments we look at some of the most dynamic Cardinals from around the world.

St John Chrysostom denounces homosexual acts as being contrary to nature. Commenting on the Epistle to the Roman (1:26-27), he says that the pleasures of sodomy are an unpardonable offense to nature and are doubly destructive, since they threaten the species by deviating the sexual organs away from their primary procreative end and they sow disharmony between men and women, who no longer are inclined …More

Commenting on the Epistle to the Roman (1:26-27), he says that the pleasures of sodomy are an unpardonable offense to nature and are doubly destructive, since they threaten the species by deviating the sexual organs away from their primary procreative end and they sow disharmony between men and women, who no longer are inclined by physical desire to live together in peace.....he goes on saying,.. "Therefore, not only are their passions [of homosexuals] satanic, but their lives are diabolic..... So I say to you that these are even worse than murderers, and that it would be better to die than to live in such dishonor. A murderer only separates the soul from the body, whereas these destroy the soul inside the body....There is nothing, absolutely nothing more mad or damaging than this perversity." (St. John Chrysostom, In Epistulam ad Romanos IV, in J. McNeill, op. cit., pp. 88-90)

Cardinal Luis Tagle is a man of strong character,
a man of faith, and a man of God. He is a devoted
and loving shepherd of God's flock, and very much
reminds me of St Vincent de Paul, Apostle of Charity.

When Vatican observer John L. Allen speaks - I listen. His
assessment of Cardinal Tagle’s strengths and weaknesses
are worth noting. Governance of the Vatican bureaucracy
is a priority. However, a far more pressing priority has got
to be the re-evangelisation of nations that have lost their
Catholic identity. I pray the cardinals will elect a herald of
