Leo XIV Writes First Encyclical
Father Moral speculates that the text could be about peace, social doctrine, unity, or artificial intelligence.
A couple of weeks ago, Leo XIV visited the Augustinian house to play tennis with his personal secretary, Rev Edgar. Father Moral described this as "one of his very rare moments of leisure".
During the summer, Leo XIV "weighs" Curia appointments to be announced in autumn.
Father Moral expects Pope Leo XIV to remain in Rome for the Jubilee Year, except for the trip to Turkey. However, he may be "seen with his suitcase in hand" in 2026, as he always travelled.
Furthermore, he expects Leo XIV to take the media at hand [given that the Vatican has no successful media project]: “For him, communication is fundamental. When the Augustinians did not have a website, he was the one who wanted it and he was the one who created it, materially."
