Servility Reigns Among the Bishops

Marco Tosatti writes on his blog that three Italian bishops have cancelled conferences which were already announced because an important and appreciated Italian layman should have participated.

The reason: This person is considered “too critical” towards some aspects of the present Church. Tosatti comments: “This is an icon of the dialogue in the times of Pope Bergoglio, and an icon of clerical court-servility.”

It is believed that the person involved is Ettore Gotti Tedeschi, a former President of the Vatican Bank and member of the Opus Dei.
