@Orthocat If you do not mind me commenting, it was an instance of Ostpolitik. As, Our Lady of Fatima, warned, "Russia would spread her errors" and they were able to infiltrate V2 with Ostpolitik. God bless you!
The Catholic Church accurately taught this until V2. It was the Eastern rite bishops who urged the council to say that Christians, Jews and Moslems worship the SAME God.
