If following me around GTV endlessly repeating the same empty claim makes you feel better, so be it. When you can successfully disprove each and every accusation of heresy made against the last five papacies, you might have something worth saying.

One minor, yet crucial, correction, though. Francis is neither an alleged pope or mine. He's the Pope of the Catholic Church and we, the laity (myself included) are stuck with him.

As much as I admire the individuals involved, I have to agree with Fr Z's take on this. It is one thing to be noble in one's actions, however, the decision to limit the involvement of those who would have willingly participated to select insiders appears like an act of the 'Nobility' rather than an act of Faith by the Faithful. As much as I admire the individuals involved, I have to agree with Fr Z's take on this. It is one thing to be noble in one's actions, however, the decision to limit the involvement of those who would have willingly participated to select insiders appears like an act of the 'Nobility' rather than an act of Faith by the Faithful. Even the concern of being 'shut down' should never daunt the faithful from standing up together for the Truth. Gary Larson's Far Side cartoon sums it up poignantly.
