Father Michael, I pray we have more priests like you: passionate for God's word with all meekness, humility and obedience to His gospel. I pray that He keep you chaste, pure of heart, and obedient in love, and that He continue to strengthen your faith and courage. Please continue to preach the truth with love in order to save our neighbors from damnation. We do not need watered down doctrines.

To Mr. Silva - I was born with a natural tendency to be a drunk. Both drunkenness and homosexuality are both condemned, as are liars, thieves, idolators, revilers, etc. And none of those will inherhit the kingdom - there needs to be repentance and willingness to change. God's grace has enabled me to not drink.

God's Word is a mirror which conforms us into His Son's image. Yes, God does love us even as sinners, and He gives us His grace to change from our sinful ways. Please reconsider your position from I want to do what I want to do, nevermind what God wants for HIS kingdom. (Yes, the Kingdom is God's, not one of our making - He sets the rules, not us)

Additionally, it is a RIOT that in general they say this is a moral issue - and the government (not the church) should set policy on this. LOL. Um, really? The church has no say in morals? LOL....

Fr. Michael - please keep preaching the real word of God. It saves souls and that is why we are Christians. Thank you.

This discussion painfully lacks Biblical Scholarship, interpretitive moral theology and an overall balanced and intelligent excursion into the matter. One can never quite understand why these American talk shows remain on a superficial stratus of debate, viz. opinion fueled by emotive impulse, rather than fact, in concreto, fueled by comprehensive study and logical debate!! Might the Americans still suffer from the 18th century puritanism? If so, when will then move on? Can the American church move on? hummmmm....
