Vatican Finances: The Next Is Trying His Luck

The Vatican named on April 15 Giuseppe Schlitzer as the new head of its Financial Information Authority (AIF).

His predecessor, Tommaso Di Ruzza, is under criminal investigation.

Schlitzer studied at the United States. He is part of high finance: Banca d’Italia, International Monetary Fund, Confindustria.

The new AIF’s deputy director is Federico Antellini Russo who has been working for the Vatican since 2015.
