A city cemetery in Colorado refused to put the name "Jesus" on a tombstone because they thought someone could find it offensive. The daughter–in-law of the deceased however didn’t stop fighting for the last will of her father–in-law. Shawn Rewoldt, the director of the city-owned cemetery, arguing for the prohibition asked her what she would think if a family wanted to put a swastika on someone’s headstone. When the family couldn’t get the city to listen, it took its grievances to Facebook. Others began contacting local media outlets and the city had to give in and grant permission.

St Peter's Catholic Church in Stoke-on-rent in the Birmingham Archdiocese was sold to the local Muslim community. The local parish, Cobridge, will continue to exist and money from the St Peter's sell-off will be used to benefit parishioners. The church had to be closed due to the shrinking faithful community. It was put up for sale on the open market. The spokesman for the Church said that a modest number of offers were received and a local Muslim community made the best offer.

Father Longenecker argued recently on his blog that when discussing the problem of the Catholic Church, he is not sure that the problem is completely the fault of the religious publishers, poor catechesis, trendy nuns, poorly educated Directors of Religious Education, left wing theologians and unconcerned pastors. According to him, there is also a problem among the laity. He describes their attitude as - quote: “I’m a cradle Catholic. Don’t you try to catechize me!”. There is a deep seated resistance among lay people to get to know their faith and to search through it for an encounter with Christ. They have no such attraction since this attraction is a side effect of sanctity.

Results of a survey by a student dating website suggest that a quarter of students contract a sexually-transmitted infection in their first year at university. Anthony Ozimic, communications manager of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children, commented on these results saying that "This survey and a wealth of similar evidence shows that self-styled 'safe sex' campaigns, promoted heavily by pro-abortion groups, are a total failure in protecting students and instilling responsibility.
