"World Premiere": Soccer Shot in Cologne Cathedral

Fans dressed in the liturgical robes of their football religion celebrated an "ecumenical event" in Cologne Cathedral on Saturday.

There was a "world premiere", reports Domradio.de: An 8-year-old boy was allowed to kick a football from the altar into the cathedral. He decided to kick "not so hard" so as not to hit anyone. The ball was caught by a fan and there was great applause.
