Einmal im Jahr erinnert Nagasaki an den wahnsinnig brutalen Massenmordangriff
der Amerikaner auf ihre Bewohner am Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs.
Dieses Jahr beschloss die Stadt Nagasaki, den israelischen Botschafter nicht zur Zeremonie einzuladen. Die Gründe für diese Entscheidung liegen auf der Hand. Israel ließ mit Unterstützung Amerikas und des Westens Gaza aussehen, als sei es atomar angegriffen worden.
Der amerikanische Botschafter Rahm Israel Emanuel (ja, das ist sein voller Name) hat bereits angekündigt, dass er die Gedenkfeier für einen Völkermord boykottieren werde, den das Land, das er vertritt, begangen hat. Wir sprechen vom Abwurf einer Atombombe, die damals „Die jüdische Bombe“ genannt wurde, auf unschuldige Zivilisten.
Das israelische Ynet berichtet über die Situation:
„Westliche Botschafter werden die Gedenkfeier für die Opfer der Atombombe in Nagasaki in Japan boykottieren, nachdem sie den israelischen Botschafter aufgrund des (Gaza-)Krieges nicht eingeladen haben. So erfuhr Ynet. Unter den Botschaftern war auch der US-Botschafter Rahm Emanuel – das Land, das die Bombe auf Nagasaki abgeworfen hat. Er teilte dem Bürgermeister mit, dass der israelische Botschafter auch nicht kommen werde, wenn er nicht eingeladen werde.
Neben den USA und Großbritannien werden auch die G7-Botschafter aus Frankreich, Deutschland, Italien und Kanada die Zeremonie boykottieren und Juniordiplomaten schicken. Viele der EU-Botschafter werden ebenfalls nicht teilnehmen, darunter der EU-Botschafter selbst. Auch die Botschafter Australiens und der Ukraine werden nicht teilnehmen.“
Jedes Mal, wenn ich westliche Angelegenheiten bespreche, denke ich mir, es kann wirklich nicht tiefer sinken, nur um nur wenige Stunden später erstaunt darüber zu sein, wie falsch ich lag…

This year the City of Nagasaki decided not to invite the Israeli Ambassador to the ceremony. The rational behind the decision is obvious. Israel with the support of America and the west made Gaza looks as if it was nuked.
The American Ambassador Rahm Israel Emanuel (yes this is his full name) already announced that he would boycott the commemoration of a genocidal act committed by the country he represents. We are talking about the dropping of a nuke that was called at the time ‘The Jewish Bomb’ on innocent civilians.
Israeli Ynet reports on the situation:
“Western ambassadors will boycott the memorial service for the victims of the atomic bomb in Nagasaki in Japan following the refrain from invitation of the Israeli ambassador due to the (Gaza) war. This is how ynet learned. Among the ambassadors, also the US ambassador Rahm Emanuel - the country that dropped the bomb on Nagasaki. He informed the mayor that if the Israeli ambassador is not invited - he will not come either.
Apart from the US and the UK, the G7 ambassadors from France, Germany, Italy and Canada will also boycott the ceremony and send junior diplomats. Many of the EU ambassadors will not attend either, including the EU ambassador himself. The ambassadors of Australia and Ukraine will also not participate.”
Every time I review Western affairs I think to myself, it really can’t get any lower just to be astonished how wrong I was just a few hours later…
