Curia Cardinal Behind Invalid Anglican "Eucharist"

The Prefect of the Dicastery for Christian Unity, Cardinal Kurt Koch, made the request for an invalid Anglican "Eucharist" in San Bartolomeo's in Rome, Father Angelo Romano, the rector of this church, told AciPrensa.com.

The event was presided over by Justin Welby, a layman with the title of "Archbishop of Canterbury".

"We welcomed this liturgy by the Archbishop of Canterbury," Romano said, explaining that it was a gesture of "fraternity with this Church so close to ours" - while a Holy Mass in the Roman Rite in the same church would have been "forbidden".

San Bartolomeo is the titular church of Blaise Cupich, a propagandist for homosexualism from Chicago.
