"Apostolic Assistant" for Biritual Religious Community
The Wilten monastery is not suspected of being Catholic. The priests of the SJM also celebrate according to the Roman Rite. Schreier is currently trying to find the fly in the ointment of the founding of the SJM by the very meritorious Father Andreas Hönisch (1930-2008).
After some [slanderous] inquiries about Hönisch, the notorious Congregation of Religious in 2022 was more than happy to consider an investigation of Hönisch "appropriate" for which there is no objective necessity.
There is no evidence of sexual or financial misconduct by Hönisch. The order spoke in a January dispatch of "human weaknesses" in matters such as the delegation of responsibility, an accusation that should first be levelled at all canonised popes since Vatican II.
The Dicastery for the Destruction of Religious Life initially appointed the conservative Passionist Father Gregor Lenzen as apostolic assistant for three years in October 2022. However, for personal reasons he was unable to fulfil his duties.
Obviously, the aim is to break the young and Catholic order, which is also active in scouting. The SJM somewhat naively points out that an apostolic assistant is not an apostolic visitation, as if Rome cared about such semantic details.
