Vatican Pretends It Was Involved in Choosing of a Chinese State Bishop

The Vatican announced on 25th January that Taddeus Wang Yuesheng, 57, was consecrated Bishop of Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China, on the same day.

He is the President of the Communist state church ("Patriotic Association") in this Chinese province.

The Vatican communique claimed that Francis had already appointed him on 16 December as part of the secret China deal.

There is no indication that this is true, as there is no mention of such an appointment in the Bollettino of that day. In addition, it is incomprehensible that the announcement was made public only on the day of Wang's inauguration.

AsiaNews.it adds that the ordination was first reported by the state-controlled ChinaCatholic.cn. Despite the "agreement" claimed by the Vatican, the article makes no mention of the Holy See.

It says only that the candidate was "elected as bishop-designate on 22 March 2022".

It's funny how Francis lies, or those of his Vatican, always come back to humiliate them in the end! 😂 😂
