Do you say that because the producers of the show are Christians and not Catholics? If so, I agree to a degree.

Yessir, “Christians” pick and choose from the Bible, make their own dogma and do as they feel. Catholics, real ones anyway, follow the doctrine of Our Lord as He presented it, not changing it to please themselves.

Again, agree. Too bad a conservative Catholic organization hasn't produced something akin to The Chosen. Perhaps that could be an outreach goal for the KOC: a talent contest to find the next producer of a Catholic version of The Chosen. It could be called "The Way" or "The Truth".

The problem with making a show about Christ’s life, even if it were completely consistent with Catholic theology, is that Christ’s life is always to be viewed through the prism of His passion and death. This is the essence of the Mass. When we celebrate His birth, or His resurrection, we re-present His death. The only day of the year that we do not, is the day we commemorate His death. This is what made The Passion of the Christ such a great film, and why everything else about Christ’s life has fallen short.
