Luxembourg Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich believes that the coronavirus “questions our fun society" and that "many people are now looking for the sense of life."
He told Wort.lu (16 March) that the virus shows that globalisation alone is "not enough" [for what?].
For him, the virus helps propagating the PR gag "Greta Thunberg" because it supposedly questions "an economy that only delivers cheap products to the people".
He critisies that, due to the coronavirus, some faithful have shown a belief in miracles "which I do not share."
He warns against processions: "The only ones who rejoice in processions are the viruses."
