While Song of Bernadette is well-made as a film, it isn't exactly "pro-Catholic". There's a fair amount of anti-Catholic propaganda in it as well as the semi-fictional book that it was based on.

I always recommend reading. Why ? If you read slowly, carefully your imagination creates scenes, emotions, you can feel the atmosphere of that events, episodes. If you read with humility, you can get additional Holy Ghost Aid and get far more explanations to what happened, to understand the history of our salvation. I'v finished 2nd reading of blessed A.K. Emmerich almost 1000 A4 pages revelation, only 2 pages a day. It has helped me the most to be a hot, bold but apologetic believer. For 10 years I pray a rosary in public, can talk about our faith with anybody in public, to praise our Lord in public, to talk with priests like peer to peer, pointing to them pentagrams upside down when I spot them or other occultist symbols on church candles, on altarcloth, nativiti scenes.
Now I am reading (2nd) st Faustine - Diary. It is shocking how the chosen can work against Jesus. I must sadly say, high priests hauteur, pride was and is the main reason of devils massive attacks on us and our salvation.
