Visited Midland ON and took the self-guided tour of the historically restored Huron village. I was amazed at the canals in the village and many miles the Huron paddled to trade with the French. The Jesuit missionaries suffered greatly to bring Christianity to the savages. It is a beautiful setting with river and lakes surrounding it. Holy place marked by the blood of the martyrs.
