Catholic Chaplain Speaks About Protests at Columbia University and Ending Antisemitism
unsafe and unwelcome, the university’s Catholic chaplain says the path forward “must first ensure that such malevolent protests, brimming with anti-Semitism, be stopped.” Father Landry, Columbia's Chaplain, said he has witnessed many pro-Palestinian protests that have taken place since mid-October — when Israel began its retaliation against Hamas in Gaza after the terrorist organization on Oct. 7 killed more than 1,200 people, and took more than 200 hostages. Tens of thousands Gazans have died, and more than 1.5 million are now displaced. Current protests at Columbia University boiled over last week, when students set up an encampment on the university’s South Lawn to oppose Israel’s military action in Gaza, and demand that the university divest from companies with ties to Israel. Habiendo llegado Pablo a Antioquía de Pisidia, decía en la sinagoga:
"Hermanos, este mensaje de salvación está dirigido a ustedes: los descendientes de Abraham y los que temen a Dios.
En efecto, la gente de Jerusalén y sus jefes no reconocieron a Jesús, ni entendieron las palabras de los profetas que se leen cada sábado, pero las cumplieron sin saberlo, condenando a Jesús.
Aunque no encontraron nada en él que mereciera la muerte, pidieron a Pilato que lo condenara.

Cleto (o Anacleto). Secondo i cataloghi Anacleto occupò il trono papale per dodici anni (ca. 77-88). Secondo alcuni era originario di Atene e la tradizione secondo la quale subì il martirio non è accertata. La tradizione vuole che sia di origine romana e discendente di pretoriani. Convertitosi al Cristianesimo, diede l'anima alla causa fino al martirio voluto da Domiziano per tentare di stroncare questa nuova religione. Durante il suo pontificato curò l'edificazione di un sepolcro presso la tomba di San Pietro, dove poi anch'egli venne sepolto e dove tutt'ora le sue reliquie sono conservate, trovandosi nella Chiesa di San Lino, nella Città del Vaticano. Inoltre, ordinò 25 sacerdoti ed il suo nome figura nelle orazioni del canone messale.
