Prior to Jesus Christ, God never appeared as a Human Being. Does that mean that God NEVER appears as a human being? So was Jesus Christ a satanic fraud? It think that the logic that "because something has not happened in the past means that it cannot happen" is flawed. Can you present evidence of satanic influence?

Johnathan Roumie was denied Holy Communion because he knelt and desired to receive directly on the …

@chris griffin Since communion in the hand, belief in the real presence has fallen to less than half of practicing Catholics. We now have to station ushers near communion lines to prevent people from walking off with hosts. Hosts falling on the floor is common now. No attempt is made to insure particles of the host do not end up on the floor as pattons are no longer used. And I do not think we know for sure how the early church consumed communion. We do know for sure that they considered it so holy that martyers gave their lives to prevent the Euchrist from being desecrated.

The condemnation of abortion is an infallible doctrine of the Catholic Church equal in authority to …

@chris griffin Chris I think that you do not fully understand "infallibly defined dogma". We as Catholics are required to believe many things outside of infallibly defined dogmas such as scripture, the ten commandments, the catechism ect. I think you used the term improperly. I think we ALL agree that abortion is a very grave mortal sin.

The condemnation of abortion is an infallible doctrine of the Catholic Church equal in authority to …

@chris griffin I agree that abortion is a horrible moral sin. I read each of the 255 infallibly defined dogmas of the Catholic Church and did not see abortion in any of them. Can you point me to the infallible dogma that you are refering to? When it comes to apparitions, for those who believe no proof is necessary and for those who do not believe, no proof is ever enough.

FIRST SATURDAY DEVOTION - What is expected of us

@chris griffin Chris, you are free to believe or not believe any supernatural experiences individuals have had throughout church history. I do not understand however why you are driven to frequently post denials of appearances of Our Lady. You do not know and are not in a position to know whether they are authentic or not. The church after many years and an exhaustive investigation has determined that Fatima is worthy of belief. To actively work against the faith of those who accept the churches determination on the matter is mean spirited at best and demonic at worst. Do you have a problem with Our Lady in general like so many other protestants? Did you have issues with your own mother growing up? What exactly drives you?

Almost 200,000 people in Fatima on October 12. The faith is alive

@chris griffin The Church spends years having experts in many fields of science and theology study reported apparitions. The vast majority are rejected as natural occurances or lack of evidence of divine intervention. It seems a mistake to second guess the church's decision because it seems to you to be inexplicable, spooky, unbelieveable ect. Reading the churches study on Fatima might be a good start to an honest evaluation. The history of our faith is full of things that seem to not make a lot of sense such as the Savior of the world being born in a stable with farm animals to a virgin very young woman and a simple wood worker.

Almost 200,000 people in Fatima on October 12. The faith is alive

@chris griffin Not trying to be clever. I do not think we have any way of knowing if Noah disclosed Gods intent to those around him. I am pretty sure they all ask him about the ark and why he was building it for quite a few years. While the children in Fatima were questioned about what they saw and heard (and threatened by the secular authorities) I do not recall any accounts of them preaching. Lucia even withdrew to a cloistered convent. While Our Lady has certainly appeared to many adults throughout history it seems that she many choose to speak to children if she wishes. The first recorded apparition of Our Lady was to the the apostle St James (Our Lady of Pilar in Zaragoso Spain). I consider the apostle St James to be a credible witness to marian apparitions

Almost 200,000 people in Fatima on October 12. The faith is alive

@chris griffin The two examples I gave are in the Bible today but were not (as the new testiment had not been written yet) immediately after they occured. Would you have not believed them if you lived in that time period and witnesses related them to you?

Almost 200,000 people in Fatima on October 12. The faith is alive

@chris griffin Was Christ knocking St Paul off of the horse a private revelation? How about the apostles healing and casting out demons? What is the standard for private vs public? While you are correct that the church does not require belief in private revelation it is a huge mistake to assume that implies that there are no consequences. I am sure in the time of Noah that many did not believe his private revelation but still did not survive the flood!
