057 La Trasfigurazione The Transfiguration.
BUON TEMPO DI QUARESIMA!
La nostra vita è dominata ormai da un ritmo frenetico, dall'ansia di possedere, di far carriera, di dominare, apparire e, soprattutto, di guadagnare; questo ritmo può impedirci di godere delle cose belle che non costano nulla. Tutti noi dovremmo, ogni tanto, essere capaci di isolarci dalla confusione per “vedere” le cose di Dio, nutrire lo spirito per poi tornare carichi nel quotidiano.
Per i tre discepoli rimanere lassù sarebbe stato ingiusto perché era doveroso ritornare a valle fra tribolazione e patimenti, sulle strade e nei crocicchi.
Essi tornarono giù dopo la “confidenza” stampata nei loro cuori e aver verificato che Iddio non bleffa: Gesù è davvero colui che dice di essere, Luce, splendore, sorpresa, presenza affidabile.
Iddio non mente.
GOOD TIME FOR LENT!
Our life is now dominated by a frantic pace, from anxiety to possess, to make a career, to dominate, to appear and, above all, to gain; this rate can prevent us enjoy the good things that do not cost anything. All of us should, occasionally, be able to isolate ourselves from the confusion to "see" the things of God, nourish the spirit and back loads in everyday life.
For the three disciples to stay up there it would have been unfair because it was fair to return to the valley of tribulation and suffering, on the roads and at crossroads. They went down after the "confidence" printed on their hearts, and having verified that God does not bluff: Jesus is really the one He claims to be, light, shine, surprise, reliable presence. God does not lie.
