Even Bishop Tadeusz Pieronek, 83, a former secretary general of the Polish bishops and exponent of the left-wing, believes that chapter 8 of Amoris Laetitia needs a clarification underlining that this text must be read in continuation with the magisterium of John Paul II.
Talking to La Fede Quotidiana (December 3) Pieronek stated that those divorced and remarried are not allowed to receive Holy Communion, “Holy Communion is a sign of unity and those who do not accept or deny the Decalogue set themselves apart from this unity.”
Pieronek warns of a sacramental laxism, “Who is in grave sin, can never receive Holy Communion.”
