A Day in a Monastery.
A day in the life of a secluded, Benedictine Monastery in Hampshire, England. The monks spend large portions of the day in silence. To keep themselves busy, they have various tasks, from studying to painting, and mixing incense to baking communion bread. A day in a secluded community is not one that is seen regularly and the experience is well worth it.

This is quite odd, an Anglican Abbey on a VERY ROMAN CATHOLIC site.... These poor chaps' vows only have the force of a 'private' arrangement between themselves and God. If they were to come home to Rome, these vows would have the full force of God's grace through the full Apostolic Magesterium (God and His people in agreement). Let's pray they come around!!

Discerner, we have the fullness but this shows how others aren't always so far gone to not have an idea what truth is made of. This is good news, so let us rejoice-and, of course, pray for a deeper communion with this group soon.

i guess it looks like local laywomen do most of the work? :)
anyways just FYI,Alton Abbey is NOT Roman Catholic, but a Monastery in the Church of England (High Anglican), in the beautiful Hampshire village of Beech, just outside Alton.
