Heute hat das Konventkapitel von Stift Heiligenkreuz entschieden, die Einladung von Bischof Ivo Muser in das Kloster Säben in der Diözese Bozen-Brixen anzunehmen. Vor allem soll Säben auch als Ort des Gebetes erfahrbar sein. Es wird aber kein Priorat gegründet. Die Gebäude verbleiben in der von der Diözese verwalteten kirchlichen Einrichtung 'Kloster Säben'. Die weiteren Schritte zur Konkretion der Seelsorge auf dem Berg Säben wird in den kommenden Wochen mit den Verantwortlichen besprochen und entschieden werden. Wir bitten um das Gebet für diese neue seelsorgliche Aufgabe unserer Gemeinschaft.

Come è emozionante sentir nominare il Dies irae della messa da requiem. Ricordo che con il coro dei giovani del Conservatorio fummo invitati ad una messa dei defunti. In un primo momento sembrò difficile riuscire nell'impresa, non avevano mai cantato il gregoriano (e cosa studiano al conservatorio?). iniziarono a cantarlo come se fosse un canto lirico. Li aiutai a fare tabula rasa e apprendere la bellezza e la profondità di questi canti, soprattutto il Dies irae. Rimasero talmente colpiti che si avvicinarono anche alla fede (erano poco praticanti). Dopo alcuni mesi andarono in Francia per un concorso tra corali polifoniche. A sentire le altre corali durante le prove si scoraggiarono. E per non fare brutta figura decisero di cambiare repertorio. Cantarono proprio la messa da Requiem gregoriana. Fu un successo straordinario e vinsero il concorso.
