BOSTON — There were reports Thursday night that Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev told investigators the original plan was to detonate bombs on July 4.
The information from officials says the devices were ready early, so the plans changed.
It was reported earlier Thursday the bombs used in the Boston Marathon attack were built in the apartment that suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev shared with his wife and child, a U.S. law enforcement official with first-hand knowledge of the investigation told CNN on Thursday. The official was not authorized to release the information.

ma mère était venue me dire bonjour. J'étais si embarrassé.
Comment pouvait-elle me faire ça ?
Je l'ai ignoré et je lui ai jeté un regard rempli de haine et je me suis enfui. Le lendemain, à l'école, un de mes camarades m'a dit : " Hé, ta mère n'a qu'un oeil !". Je voulais me brûler tout entier. Je voulais également que ma mère disparaisse ! Donc je suis allé la voir ce jour, et je lui ai dit : " Si tu veux que je ris un peu, pourquoi tu ne meurs pas ?" MOSCOW—A meteor streaked through the sky and exploded Friday over Russia's Ural Mountains with the power of an atomic bomb, its sonic blasts shattering countless windows and injuring more than 750 people. The spectacle deeply frightened thousands, with some elderly women declaring the world was coming to an end.
The meteor—estimated to be about 10 tons—entered the Earth's atmosphere at a hypersonic speed of at least 54,000 kph (33,000 mph) and shattered about 30-50 kilometers (18-32 miles) above the ground, the Russian Academy of Sciences said in a statement.

A heavily armed man invaded a Newtown, Conn., elementary school today, killing his mother and 26 others, mostly children, federal and state sources tell ABC News.
The gunman, identified as Adam Lanza, 20, of New Jersey, was killed inside of the school.
In addition to the casualties at the school, a dead body was also found in his home, officials said. Sources said Lanza was armed with four weapons and wearing a bullet-proof vest when he opened fire in the elementary school.
Among the dead was the gunman's mother, found in the school, sources told ABC News.

A giant asteroid will make a flyby of Earth over the next few days, and armchair astronomers can watch the action live on their computers.
The near-Earth asteroid 4179 Toutatis, which is about 3 miles (5 kilometers) wide, will zoom within 4.3 million miles (7 million kilometers) of Earth during its closest approach early Wednesday morning (Dec. 12). That's too far away to pose any impact threat on this pass, but close enough to put on a pretty good show through top-notch telescopes, researchers say.
And some of those scopes will be tracking Toutatis' movements for the benefit of skywatchers around the world. The online Slooh Space Camera and Virtual Telescope Project, for example, will both stream live, free footage of the asteroid from professional-quality observatories.
Slooh will webcast Toutatis views from a scope in the Canary Islands off the west coast of Africa beginning at 3 p.m. EST (…More

Police plan to charge 17-year-old Austin Reed Sigg with the murder of 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway.
Two weeks after 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway’s dismembered body was found in a field in Colorado, police have arrested the alleged killer of the fifth grader.

“I am pleased to announce we have taken a significant step forward today towards justice for Jessica,” said Westminster Police Chief Lee Birk. “We hope and pray this arrest will give her family a small measure of closure.”
Police received the major break in the case on Tuesday evening when they received a tip that led them to the home of 17-year-old Austin Reed Sigg.
