This is the sad reality of just how much power bishops have @John A Cassani The bishop is trying to force the priest to get vaccinated by making his life miserable "regular testing and wearing a mask" for his noncompliance. The priest, being inherently honest, flat out refused instead of cleverly agreeing and then simply "forgetting" on a regular basis, especially for masking.

Coyne’s claim that he doesn’t want to escalate the situation is laughable. He is not being coerced by the state to implement these rules, which, at this point, are only in line with those of woke corporations and colleges. Coyne’s claim that he doesn’t want to escalate the situation is laughable. He is not being coerced by the state to implement these rules, which, at this point, are only in line with those of woke corporations and colleges. Even big cities in left wing states have stopped any requirements for vaccination, testing, or masking. Let no one doubt how difficult it is to be true to the promise of obedience. We can talk all we want about how one is not bound to follow orders that are opposed to the moral law, or, how one is bound to never follow such orders. The problem is, the one with the all power to decide what is good or bad, in the Church, is the one who is giving the orders. Recall that Bishop Coyne’s greatest “claim to fame” from before heas a bishop was as the public spokesman for Cardinal Law during his last days.
