The air hums with anticipation, for this Academic Day, or Dies Academicus, is not only the university’s cherished tradition but is graced by the presence of Pope Leo XIV himself. Founded in 1773 by Pope Clement XIV, the university now welcomes around 1,100 students, with over 40% being laypeople.
