School district responds as Virginia governor bans cellphones in schools
Gov. Glenn Youngkin issued an executive order that allows school districts in Virginia to ban the use of cellphones in public schools. The Hanover County School Board followed suit and voted to not allow students access to their phones, citing technology and social media for the rise in mental health issues in children. WWBT’s Jennifer Blake reports.

When I was in high school, I remember a classmate being caught with a beeper, which was considered by the teacher to practically be the end of the world. Then there were the times students were caught with dirty magazines. Smart phones make every student capable of 100x worse.
