Surviver: Anyone Who Doesn't Believe in God "Has a Problem"

Joe Ditomasso, 76, and Kevin Hyde, 65, boarded a small sailboat in Cape May, New Jersey, the last November weekend, headed to Florida.

But the boat was caught in a huge storm, “It sounded like the devil was out there,” Ditomasso told Abc7ny.com (December 15). The wind snapped the boat's mast.

The two were lost at sea with little food and water and no power to run navigation equipment. The last contact with their families was on December 3.

It was not until 11 December that a search operation was launched. By that time, the water had run out. Two days later, the two were discovered by a tanker. Ditomasso calls this a Christmas miracle,

“Every morning I’d wake up and kiss the cross and say the Our Father." He begged God to see his granddaughter one more time. His conclusion, "If people don't believe there’s a Lord, they have a problem.”
