Clearly, what occured in Spain and again last week in Germany must not have been papal liturgies. If they had been papal liturgies then surely those receiving the Eucharist would have received on the tongue while kneeling.

Evidently that was NOT the pope in the photos or video. Had it been the pope, then those receiving the Eucharist would have been receiving on the tongue while kneeling as is the norm in papal liturgies.

COUNCIL OF TRENT (1545-1565) "The fact that only the priest gives Holy Communion with his consecrated hands is an Apostolic Tradition."

POPE PAUL VI (1963-1978). "This method [on the tongue] must be retained." (Apostolic Epistle "Memoriale Domini")

POPE JOHN PAUL II (1978-2005). "To touch the Sacred Species and to distribute them with their own hands is a privilege of the ordained. (Dominicae Cenae, sec. 11)

How often do people have to be reminded of the horrendous abuses that have and still do take place since communion in the hand started? From finding consecrated Hosts in bathrooms, under pews, in pockets of people, and walking out with Our Lord in the Eucharist only to be SOLD for satanic masses.
This surely isn't new news for the Holy Father.

where did communion in the hand come from since it is nowhere proposed or even mentioned in the documents of Vatican II?

Why did it still come about on a worldwide scale even after Pope Paul VI in the 1969 letter to the Bishops,Memoriale Domini stated "This method, 'on the tongue' must be retained?

If it is supposed to be "optional", why are the little children in most parochial schools taught no other way than receiving in the hand as "this is the way it is done"?

Is it possible there may be forces at work to undermine the priesthood?

Is it possible there may be forces at work to Protestantize the Catholic Church?

Is it possible there may be forces at work to destroy the Catholic Church?

Are Catholic authorities unaware of Saint Thomas Aquinas' teaching that only the consecrated (hands of the priest) should touch the consecrated (Sacred Host)? Summa Pt. III, Q. 82 ART #3

Are Church authorities unaware that Protestant denominations beginning with Martin Luther in the 16th century re-introduced Communion in the hand to manifest their belief once and for all that there is no such thing as Transubstantiation and Holy Orders, and the bread used during services is just ordinary bread, and the minister is just an ordinary man with no God-given power to consecrate?

Are Catholic authorities unaware that during ritualistic Satan worship, there must be a consecrated Host for the diabolical black mass, where It is profaned in the most horrendous and immoral way possible?

Are Catholic authorities unaware that the introduction of Communion in the hand, and the "anyone can handle It" attitude easily accomodates those who wish to acquire It for evil purposes? Do they care?

@tbswv Without wanting to be offensive to you, I have to say that your comments about the Holy Father are bordering on the disrespectful. Are you suggesting that we, the laity, know better than the Supreme Pontiff of God's Church on Earth and can do a better job at restoring and preserving our Catholic Tradition? Remember that Christ founded His Church on the Rock and Benedict is Peter today ... he, and he alone under Christ, is the Rock. We as faithful Catholics should respect, revere and obey him, support him with our prayers and defend him from his enemies. Otherwise we might as well be protestants or orthodox ... and look at the sorry mess they are in!!!

You will know them by their fruits. Talk is cheap. If the Holy Father wishes for communion on the tongue while kneeling to be the norn, then highly publicized events such as these are perfect opportunities to show the intent of the Holy Father to the world. I am so disappointed to see this. Bishop Fulton Sheen was right: it will be up to the laity to restore and preserve our Roman Catholic Tradition. It will be a fight to the bitter end.
