In August 2023, Gérald Moussa Darmanin, the interior minister of the Macron regime, ordered the dissolution of Civitas, an oppositional political movement inspired by natural law and the social doctrine of the Church.
The pretext: a guest at the Civitas summer university allegedly made “anti-Semitic and Islamophobic remarks” (sic).
The dissolution was approved by the ministers of the Macron regime on 4 October 2023. Darmanin has been repeatedly accused of sexual abuse. Civitas is headed by the Belgian Alain Escada.
Civitas is dedicated to the renewal, reform, and evangelisation of the decadent French society by promoting Christ’s Social Kingship and thus opposing blasphemy, gender ideology, illegal mass immigration, abortion and Covid propaganda.
It is not surprising that the French regime, which only allows facade "opposition" persecutes Civitas.
