“Last night the Pope Emeritus was able to rest well. He also participated in the celebration of Holy Mass in his room yesterday afternoon. At present his condition is stable.”

Maybe this is a stupid question, but what would be the reaction of Catholics around the world if suddenly, we wake up one morning soon and find out on the news that while Pope Benedict is going thru his illness, Pope Francis has suddenly and inexplicably died (in his sleep, or whatever). How would Rome and the world react to a shock like that? Not impossible, because Bergoglio's not well either.

@Avalanche Catholic and @Just me -I agree with @Avalanche Catholic that if Bergoglio were to suddenly and unexpectedly die, I think the entire Church would breathe a sigh of relief, and then celebrate-the despot is dead!! His cheerleaders still would try to ruin things by putting one of their own on the Throne of Peter, but won't succeed. Even of the great Benedict XVI died, and Bergoglio resigned …More

His cheerleaders still would try to ruin things by putting one of their own on the Throne of Peter, but won't succeed. Even of the great Benedict XVI died, and Bergoglio resigned, one of his clones will not get in. Francis is hated so much in the Church, even among the Cardinals, that the handful of his likely favorites will never get into office. One good thing is that two of them, Mariadiaga and Ravasi both just turned 80 and can't vote. Parolin is corrupt and not especially well, and Tagle is recently disgraced. I think the next Pope will be , to the surprise of the entire Church, someone who is actually to the right of Benedict XVI ideologically...someone who respects the ancient traditions of the Church and the Tridentine Latin Mass, and a pope who will actually celebrate it...for the first time in nearly 60 years! To make a long story short...and to be clear....from what I have read on multiple sites from people who know and have spoken with Cardinals....the next Pope will not be another Francis.

@Just me - Chossing to pray if we get another Pope is a very good thing to do. But good, faithful Catholics must also remember that action to, is a good thing. If , God forbid, we do get a Pope worse that Francis, the first thing to do is to forcefully reject him and his agenda and appointees from the beginning.....and that goes for new cardinals of his, bishops, etc. It is not wrong, in a situation …More

If , God forbid, we do get a Pope worse that Francis, the first thing to do is to forcefully reject him and his agenda and appointees from the beginning.....and that goes for new cardinals of his, bishops, etc. It is not wrong, in a situation like that, where you have a Pope who totally rejects the 2,000 year old traditions of the Faith even more than Francis has done, to reject and oppose him by all means possible.....including (as I read a large percentage of Catholics are prepared to do), building a substitute city of Rome, substitute Vatican, and electing a substitute traditional Pope, to reign as Pope for traditional Catholics....and to keep in place unless and until the original Rome and original Papacy returns to tradition.
Prayer is a wonderful weapon against an evil Pope. But in concrete terms, and in reality of the world, a massive rejection of him, his agenda, and his people would also serve a great purpose so that he could not further destroy the Faith, as much as he and his people would like to.

@Just me -Thank you very much. No, I won't work myself up to the point of being sick, like some have done. I'm just saying that personally, I hope continue to reject Bergoglio (THEY JUST HAD AN END OF THE YEAR VESPERS AT THE VATICAN, BUT CANCELLED A PART THAT WAS ALWAYS TRADITIONAL---NO BENEDICTION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT AS PART OF THE VESPERS SERVICE. The Basilica was packed, but no one applauded Bergoglio. And he was in his wheelchair again, the whole time. Once again, he can barely walk.

I usually don't do nerdy things like this, but I thought it would be fun to wish you and everyone Happy New Year in Japanese, and English. I'm off from teaching all the way till Jan 9th, which is why I've checked this link so often. Unfortunately, for the last few days, for very sad reasons. My friends all have to work and are jealous that as a public H.S. teacher, I have 2 weeks Christmas break (Dec.23-Jan.9). They all went back to work the day after Christmas, and some had to work on Christmas day 🤪
Bergoglio didn't look very good this evening at the Vespers. The altar of St.Peter's looked beautiful, totally Catholic, but no Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, which I though was always done.
I heard a report which is good actually....that yesterday (Friday), the Mass at St.John Lateran which was supposed to be celebrated for Benedict XVI's health, the Cardinal Vicar of Rome, heretic clone of Francis De Donatis originally said would be celebrated by just a bishop. But it brought such an outrage from the Roman clergy who thought that as Cardinal Vicar De Donatis should celebrate it,( that it would be an insult to Benedict otherwise,) DeDonatis suddenly reversed course and he said he would celebrate it. The Roman clergy pressured him to do it.
Now some idiots in the Vatican don't want Benedict XVI to be buried in papal white, but in either red as a cardinal, or just a black cassock underneath any vestments he is buried in. But that got cancelled out too.
Benedict XVI will be buried in the tomb originally of John XXIII.
Some people in Rome are surprised that Benedict XVI died, especially after the optomistic report yesterday. But my Uncle, who is a Cardiologist, had texted, and then told us at home at dinner, that at Benedict's age and with other ailments, when someone suffers massive renal failure (kidney), at that age, extraordinary means to keep them alive is not done. No dialysis, or any intervention. The person is allowed to just pass on quietly. My Uncle said on Wednesday when this news broke, that he would be surprised if Benedict XVI lived thru the weekend, because people with massive renal failure like that also start having multiple organ failure and heart failure and die within 3-4 days. He was right....unfortunatly.

I actually hope he gets well. Maybe wishful thinking. God Bless You, Pope Benedict XVI. 🙏 👏
