The pope has no authority to change the Divinely Revealed Word of God, the teaching of Jesus enshrined in St Matthew's Gospel Ch. 5.. He cannot change the words of scripture because he does not like them or think them appropriate. Such arrogance to "better" the words of the Gospel, and worse, to tell us to do the same. This Catholic is NOT for changing. Et Ne Nos Inducas In Tentationem sed Libera Nos!
