BALTIMORE, MD (Catholic Online) - In a strong and prophetic sign of solidarity, underscored as its importance by being announced at the conclusion of their General Assembly, the Catholic Bishops of the United States issued the following statement concerning their intention to resist the coercive and unconstitutional HHS mandate through which the US Government intends to enforce the Affordable Care Act.
With its coercive HHS mandate, the government is refusing to uphold its obligation to respect the rights of religious believers.
