On the contrary, I respect them. While I support Russia's strong opposition to LGBT and indiscrimition Abortion ideologies, I firmly believe that we must not ignore the dangers of Russia... So many Trumps, JD Vances, current Republicans, and Orthodox Catholic and Christian people are talking about how Russia is a model Christian nation and is protecting the Christian community, but this is just plain wrong nonsense. It's worth mentioning that Putin's "moral" legislation is not Christian in nature but anti-Western. There is a lot of overlap there, but Putin has not put forward anything explicitly Christian, especially not anything Catholic.
Putin may be a lot of things, but stupid isn't one of them, and he's not about to alienate the Jewish and Muslim populations that still live in Russia after the Soviet collapse.
@Jeffrey Ade - The fall of the Soviet Union. Most of its Muslim population lived in the border republics that broke away, like Uzbekistan. However, there is still a sizeable Muslim population in Russia proper.

@Orthocat - At this juncture, Western and Woke might as well be synonyms, since we're talking about socially dominant mores. As far as Russia is concerned... even if a broken clock is right twice a day, I wouldn't set my watch to it.
Nevertheless, it will be a tool God uses to correct the world, ironically correcting their own errors. First as a scourge, then as a model. I still wouldn't trust Russia much while it's in scourge-mode.

Actually the enemy inside the gates are the Bolshevik's, the errors of Russia. They control Moscow and Russia as they have since the 2019 revolution and they are making their bid to control the states through the "christian nationalism" vs. "woke west" PSYOP. You may have to look a little deeper then the MSM media to understand the layers of this PSYOP but denying the Catholic teaching on Russia and then not educating yourself on the phony "fall of the Soviet Union" does not befit a discerning Catholic. It is clearly shown that the "fall" was fake and it was simply a restructuring of the Kremlin Apparatchiks. Anyone at this point in time who believes in the MSM and Soviet propaganda regarding the fall is, falling for the errors of Russia! This was scripted and sadly the hierarchy of the Catholic Church being compromised by the Soviets went along with the script. I agree with you about a broken Russia.
