Bishop Strickland : When Wolves Wear Vestments : The Synodal Siege Within the Church
Bishop Joseph Strickland
Jul 9
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
There are moments in the Church’s history when the sheep must look up – not because of storms from the world, but because the shepherds themselves have fallen silent … or worse, have joined the wolves.
St Paul once warned the Church in Ephesus with piercing clarity:
“I know that, after my departure, ravening wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock” (Acts 20:29).
And those wolves have come. They wear vestments. They speak of mercy, but they mock truth. They preach inclusion, but they exclude fidelity to the Deposit of Faith. They bless what God has called sin.
We are living through a siege – not from without, but from within. This is the hour of betrayal not unlike the garden of Gethsemane. But this time the betrayers wear miters and carry croziers.
The Cross is still here. The Eucharist is still here. But we are surrounded by hired men who abandon the sheep – or even worse, mislead them into the thorns. …More
Why can't Burke and Schneider sound like this? Wait, I know: because they wanna make sure they don't get cancelled like bishop Strickland or Vigano.
Be not afraid. Because of fear and illegal consequences, Bishop Strickland is laying low. He does not want to be excommunicated, even though that act would be unlawful and invalid.
If he were truly courageous he would join the SSPX.
@123jussi No, never leave the Church. Jesus doesn't. He lives His Passion in and through His Church (the R.C. Church). So must we, without an easy escape.
The SSPX is currently the core of the Church, the only ones leaving the church are the Novus Ordo crowd who continue to distance themselves from Church Tradition and truth.
I am amazed that so many can think the pope is not the pope because he is a heretic but yet the Novus Ordo crowd is in apostasy but few can see that this is not the true church ,the true church are those holding the true faith , not those occupying the chancellery buildings.
@123jussi Your mistake is that the “Novus Ordo crowd” is in apostasy. The Novos Ordo Mass - properly celebrated - is a valid Mass. Despite the many liturgical abuses in the NO, it remains a valid Mass (as long as the essential parts are respected). Apostasy is when believers (including pope, cardinals, bishops and priests) adhere to and proclaim a heterodox faith. This has been the case since Francis. Before that, the Church was not “Immaculate” either (never was) but the popes were still faithful to the Apostolic Tradition.
Amen, Amen. Praised be the Most Holy Trinity for raising such a courageous and holy shepherd, our bishop Strickland!
