An Italian rendition of the Irish hymn "Our Lady of Knock".

This is the first known Italian rendition of the popular Irish song “Our Lady of Knock”. We will publish “Our Lady of Knock” in Italian on the day the 8th of December in memory of the Irish bishops whom in the year 1650 on the 8th of December proclaimed Our Blessed Virgin Mother Mary as Queen of Ireland. This was done in a former Cathedral at Loughrea in Co. Galway in front of the surviving image of the Irish Madonna now housed in the town of Gyor in Hungary. The Italian version of “Our Lady of Knock” has been translated by a team of Irish and Italian Catholics with the blessing of Dana Rosemary Scallon and her husband.
