Rupnik Retired: Futur of Centro Aletti Unclear
Jesuit Father Marko Rupnik, a Novus Ordo artist, accused of fornication with nuns decades ago, will leave Rome and move to a Jesuit retirement home in Gallarate near Milan where Cardinal Martini died, according to information from the Jesuit superior in Slovenia, Father Miran Žvanut (IlSismografo, April 1).
The community of the Aletti Centre, a mosaic workshop with a community attached, until recently led by Rupnik, will be dissolved. In it unclear if and in which form the artistic activity will continue.
The Jesuits have forbidden Rupnik from any public artistic or priestly activity.
