Francis Talks about Prostitutes: "I Really Liked Porota"

In his new autobiography, which will be published in January, Francis talks about his acquaintance with four (!) prostitutes.

In the chapter "The prostitutes who will be among the first in the Kingdom of God," Francis recalls his youth in the Buenos Aires district Barrio.

He met a hairdresser and her sister, who both worked as prostitutes: "They earned some extra money by washing and laying."

He knew two other prostitutes in the neighbourhood. They served a 'higher class', were picked up by car and were called Ciche and Porota.

When Francis became Auxiliary Bishop of Buenos Aires, Porota called him and asked to see him. Francis received her in the bishop's house, "It must have been in 1993."

Porota told him that she had experienced a lot, but the death of an important lover had changed her life. From then on, she was no longer a prostitute, but a caregiver in a home for the elderly. Francis raves about her and calls her "a modern Mary Magdalene". Her language was "memorable and imaginative".

On her deathbed, she called Francis one last time, asking for the anointing of the sick and Communion. "In between, she cursed a doctor and shouted at another patient. She hadn't lost her bite, not even at the end."

And: "I really liked her and always say a prayer for her on the anniversary of her death."

The description of such experiences fits seamlessly into the image a priest who has never had any real pastoral experience and therefore tends to see these things through rose-coloured spectacles.

Mary 17

According to Anne Catherine Emmerich and Venerable Mary of Agreda, Mary Magdelene was the sister of Lazarus and a very wealthy woman .She purchased the expensive oil that Judas complained about when she poured it out on Our Lords feet.

He never says he likes those devoted to Latin liturgy.

Jesus loves the sinner not the sin ,When someone aproves the sin he is not helping the sinner

Hound of Heaven

Jesus loved everyone He met but He didn't always 'like' what they were doing. His task was to unmask the person to show them the real person He loved so that they could become closer to whom they genuinely are unencumbered by the sins which drag each of us down. "Be perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect" doesn't sound like the mantra of someone who wants us to remain less than we can be.

What's the goal of this? To normalize sin: "Look, even the pope is saying that whores are ok - that's my man! C'mon son, let's go to the brothel!"

Orthocat

Typical Francis - says a couple of laudable things (woman leaving a life of sin, requesting the Last Rites, St. Mary Magdalene) interwoven with vulgar crudities (the hairdresser/harlots "washed & laid", one cussed 'imaginatively', she had "bite" even at the end of her life) unworthy of a priest, let alone a Pope!. Like MANY narcissistic people, he seems to revel in scandalizing others!!

The devil always serves poison wrapped in virtuous and laudable cover. He is never direct, never says "yes, yes, no, no" as our Master teaches.
