New Theory: Francis Travels “Every Day” to Argentina
In 1960, Bergoglio obtained a licentiate in philosophy, but later interrupted an attempt to earn a doctorate in Germany.
Cardinal Mendonça flatters Francis to the point of no return: “When Francis answers, he answers with intelligence, with depth. Often, surprisingly, he takes questions much further. This is something that fascinates me and that I try to learn.”
Mendonça is also “struck” by Francis’ “evangelical simplicity”. According to him, “there is a whiff of the Gospel about this man” which Mendonça calls “touching”.
Even though, Francis is a proverbial manipulator, Mendonça claims: "I am in front of someone who believes that the truth is the truth" (sic).
The Curia bureaucrate crosses the boundary into the ridiculous when answering the question whether Francis will still visit Argentina: “I think that he goes there every day, that he travels to Argentina every day” (sic).
Mendonça says about himself that he does the same: “Like me, although it is not deliberate, voluntary, I travel to my country of origin [Portugal] every day. Every man is like that. He always travels...”
According to Mendonça, Francis is “an extraordinary Pope” and he is “grateful” for all that he does “to help the Church to be more missionary and more prophetic”.
In the manipulative language of the Vatican, “missionary” means “to promote indifferentism” and “prophetic” means “to adapt to the regime.”
