Bishops In Disguise Perform Abuse Show: Two Days Later They Get the Bill
In a pathetic penance show, 120 French Archbishops, bishops and senior Catholic laymen knelt on November 6 before the statue of a weeping child at the shrine of Lourdes.
Some bishops dressed in lay clothes because “victims” had requested them not to wear their religious clothing for the show [why?].
As they could have known, their performance didn’t satisfy organisations/lawyers of alleged victims because at the end, it's all about money.
Therefore, on November 8, the bishops agreed to abuse part of the patrimony of the Church's real estate holdings [which doesn't belong to them] to compensate “victims.” They spoke of “a vast program.”
The extent of the French abuse hoax becomes clear from the fact that according to the bishops, there are ten times more "abuse cases" than "abuse victims," and there have been ten times more abuses in France than in any other country although abuse cases against clerics in French courts are extremely rare.
Reality check: in 2010 about thirty priests and religious out of 20.000 were serving sentences in French prisons, not exclusively for sexual crimes. This is 0.2% of all consecrated men.
