Refreshing: Argentinian Bishop Defends Marriage Against Amoris Laetitia

The sacramental marriage “cannot be dissolved by any human power, neither civil nor ecclesiastical, neither by the passage of time after separation (culpable or not; brief or elongated), nor because love no longer exists between the spouses, nor by a personal conviction in conscience, even in good faith”, writes Bishop Pedro Daniel Martinez Perea of San Luis, Argentina, in a June 29 letter to his priests.

Bishop Martinez restates the Catholic teaching that a person who cohabits with another person is “in an objective state of sin” and must separate. Otherwise the reception of Holy Communion is impossible.

He also claims that Amoris Laetitia has not changed anything and is allegedly “a great catechesis”.

He has made an important statement AND believes Amoris Laetitia is "a great catechesis." I wonder what he has to say about the author himself taking a different - pastoral 🙄 - interpretation.
