Wrong Enemy: Cardinal Müller Against "Infertile Traditionalists"
Cardinal Gerhard Müller reflects in the newspaper Die Tagespost on December 4 on the 60th anniversary of Vatican II. He claims that debates about the interpretation of the Council have significantly shaped the faith of many Catholics since the 1960s [while in reality, Cathoilcs simply vanished].
The Cardinal notes that both “traditionalist” and “progressivist” approaches can misinterpret the Council: the former want to go behind the Council, while the latter seek to move beyond it.
He argues that the Council itself distinguishes between the unchangeable substance of Catholic doctrine, liturgy, and Church constitution, and the "changeable" forms of expression or liturgical practice.
According to him, both “sterile conservatism” and unfounded modernism misunderstand this distinction.
Furthermore, Cardinal Müller considers debates about whether the Council was “merely pastoral” to be theologically absurd, as doctrine and pastoral mission are inseparable in Christ.

The hierarchy particularly what’s left of the old guard appear to be delusional. I’m sick and tired of hearing about “the council” damn that satanic council to hell. Just admit that the council was a diabolical mess. The fruits are as clear as the noon day sun. Total destruction. The novus ordo is from hell. This is not complex. Failed council.
The problem here is the following... people who were born in the novus ordo dont know half about the horror of Vatican II, for most the Eucharist STILL happens there actively as it becomes the Blood, Body, Soul and Divinity of our Lord in such a tiny piece of bread, so most dont care... I understand the resistance in both sides, yet hurts to see the engagement to those on the other side sometimes is not made with sincere love, but the desire to hurt... Card. Muller, deeply believe waht he is talking about, is like Card. Gregory (a false prophet), who is such a traitor of the faith, yet he strongly believes in prolife... so yes, card Muller is wrong in many ways but in others he is right.
Truth must matter, not pragmatism. If you tell the truth, you are punished in the counciliar ambient. That is the situation. That cannot be in the Church.
@foward yes, all who has spoken the truth gets crucified and persecuted, its a fact for any christian... Do you really think, a novus ordo mass goer who gets martyred in pakistan it’s asked if he is a traditionalist so they’re assassins could killd a real catholic? No.
Again, the truth doesn’t varies despite our spiritual formation could be different, this is why our Lord tells us: new wines to new skins, old wine to old skins.
They kill you because, to them, you are a Christian. They also kill Protestants, and we are not the same.
Cardinal Muller is a very misled man and most likely a closet supporter of Pope Leo XIV's Modernist agenda.
