No Condemnation: Hong Kong Diocese Speaks Of Cardinal Zen's "Incident"
Hong Kong Diocese said in a May 12 statement without outrage nor condemnation that it was “extremely concerned” about the "incident" regarding Cardinal Joseph Zen,
“We have always upheld the rule of law. We trust that in the future we will continue enjoying religious freedom in Hong Kong under the Basic Law.”
It urges the police and the judicial authorities to handle Zen’s case "in accordance with justice." The message concludes with a quote from Psalm 22: “The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack.’”
Psalm 7 [Lord my God, I take refuge in you; save and deliver me from all who pursue me] would have been more appropriate.
