Lay Catholics Resurrect John Paul II's Academy for Life
Lay Catholics have resurrected John Paul II's Academy for Life after Pope Francis named abortion apologists to the former Vatican sponsored Academy for Life.
The announcement was made by Professor Josef Seifert during a conference on Humanae Vitae in Rome on October 28.
Professor Seifert is the first president of the Academy which is called John Paul II Academy for Human Life and the Family. The Academy will serve the same goals as the original one, namely the “defense of human life in all its stages” and the “study of marriage”. It will be a independent non-governmental organization but unlike the Vatican Academy of Life, it will act in strict compliance with the Catholic Faith.
