Burke: German Bishops Are Creating New Denomination

During his severe covid infection, Cardinal Raymond Burke’s doctors were “excellent but they had given up.”

Burke told CatholicAction.org (May 11) that he experienced a turnaround "at the most critical moment" because of the prayers of the faithful. His energy hasn't fully returned and he needs a year for the recovery of his lungs.

For Burke, the German Synod tries to accommodate the Church’s teaching to a godless worldview, “What they are saying is heretical.” The German teaching on homosexual acts opposes the Bible and the Catholic Faith, he says.

The German bishops are encouraging the faithful to abandon the truth. Burke tells Francis to call on them to "renounce their heresies" and to sanction them if they refuse “so that the faithful know that these bishops are not leading them in the Catholic faith but in some kind of other teaching.”

Burke sees in Germany a repeat of Martin Luther that will create another denomination replacing the Catholic faith. He warns that never before there has been a greater confusion in the Church. This confusion is caused by those called to be the teachers of the Faith and shepherds of the flock.

None of this annihilates, or cancels, the Real Presence. The Eucharistic Christ is not about books. Any Priest consecrating the bread and wine during Mass is not about books but about Salvation and Adoration.

Yes, and the sun is really hot. No kidding.
Assorted heresies have been going on for a long, long, long time. Some you comment on, others you let slide. So, please, just get better. Heal. Take your time.
These one off comments are more depressing than anything.
Why?
For Burke, whatever he chooses to stand up against is heresy, but what he chooses to ignore and or slam or sideline for convenience sake is no problem at all. Maybe if he'd actually address Francis directly, to his face, and cease and desist from labeling others schismatics for 'fear' of schism while the German Church does their schism thing, I'd give his 'words' more weight.
Until then.... these comments are tossed out every once in a while to uphold the facade of being aligned with Catholic tradition/teaching. Such a disappointment.

He is leading the German bishops by example!!!
He is destroying the Catholic Church all over the world!!!

Divorced and remarried receiving sacrilegious communion as per Amoris Laetitia is still
unfinished business Cardinal Burke.
Many including myself remain horrified at that teaching .....and aghast that there is next to no resistance to it from the hierarchy.
