New Papal Appointment: Pope Francis on Tuesday named 47-year-old Monsignor Michael F. Olson as the bishop of the Fort Worth Diocese in Texas. Olson is a priest with the same Diocese and serves as rector of Irving-based Holy Trinity Seminary. He replaces Bishop Kevin Vann, who in September 2012 was appointed bishop of the Diocese of Orange, California. Olson will be consecrated at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
