"The True Friends of the Pope Are Not Those Who Adulate Him"

The former president of the Vatican Bank, Ettore Gotti Tedeschi, is among those who signed the September 24 correction of Pope Francis' Amoris Laetitia "because I love the Church and I love the Pope".

Gotti imagines what Francis will do after the publication of the correction, "He will call all the signees, he will hug them and thank them that they had the courage to sign it." And, "He will tell them that he understood that the true friends of the Church and the Pope are those who correct him, not those who adulate him."
