Leo XIV Gives Green Light to Heretical Synod’s Reports – Just Postpones Them



The Vatican’s synod office announced yesterday that the final reports from the ex-synod’s study groups had been postponed until the end of the year. This means a six-month extension to the original deadline of 30 June.

Topics covered by the ten groups include opinions on female 'deaconesses' and the normalisation of homosexual acts.

In June, Pope Leo XIV gave Francis’ personnel the go-ahead to proceed.

In July, the synod leadership will publish brief interim reports from the study groups.

According to the synod's secretariat, it is "the context in which the question of women's access to the diaconate can be appropriately posed".
