Leo XIV Starts "Study Group on Liturgy" - Puts Liturgy on Back Burner for Years

The Vatican released today a document for the next three years of the ongoing synodal process, entitled: “Pathways for the Implementation of the Synod”.

The 24 pages document is the usual tiring and wordy drivel.

Leo XIV has encouraged the ex-synod's leadership team [put in place by Francis] in their “commitment to the synodal journey,” urging them to “continue” their efforts.

During his first meeting with the secretariat on June 26-27, Leo XIV confirmed that the phases of the ex-synod will proceed as scheduled by Francis on March 11.

Further, Leo XIV confirmed the existing ten study groups on different topics, but adds two more groups on:
- The Liturgy in a Synodal Perspective
- The Statute of Episcopal Conferences, Ecclesial Assemblies, and Particular Councils.

The Synod’s secretariat is responsible to ensure that Leo XIV’s decisions, developed also on the basis of the findings of these groups, will be integrated into the ongoing [and never ending] synodal journey.

The Secretariat will also promote conferences and study seminars [= self-congratulatory gatherings with tasty buffets]

Bergoglio justified TC with a logical argumentation (from the revolutionary POW).
On the other side (lukewarm opportunists, indultists) we see confusion and contradiction in terms. For example, to quote the (in)famous "revelation" of Miss (Mrs?) Montagna regarding TC:
"Additionally, the report noted, some bishops fear a ‘division into two Churches’ and believe that groups attached to the Extraordinary Form ‘reject’ the Second Vatican Council."
It is counterfactual idiocy as:
Groups "attached to the Extraordinary Form" do not reject "Vatican II" as the idea that the Roman Rite is another (extraordinary) form of ordinary Novus Ordo is a revolutionary fable accepted only by those who accept the post-conciliar revolution.
If somebody rejects the "Second Vatican Council" he will not be attached in any way to the post-conciliar fiction of "Extraordinary Form" but, of course, will attend the traditional Roman Rite (ontologically and historically different to the Novus Ordo).

The implementation of the final document of the World Synod (October 26, 2024) will take place in five phases. First, by December 2026, the outcomes are to be applied at diocesan, national, and international levels, testing synodal consultation methods and structures. These will be reviewed in 2027—first in diocesan assemblies, then by bishops' conferences and cross-border councils. In spring 2028, continental evaluations will follow. The final phase is a global church assembly in the Vatican in October 2028.
